Why two-factor authentication matters on markaszeus
Your markaszeus account holds your balance, your transaction history, and your linked payment methods (DANA, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet). If someone gains access to your account without authorization, they could withdraw your balance or change your payment settings. Two-factor authentication prevents this by requiring a second code that only you can provide.
2FA is optional on markaszeus, but we recommend enabling it. The process takes under five minutes, and the extra security is worth the small effort. Your password alone is vulnerable to phishing, keylogging, or data breaches. A second factor—a code on your phone—is much harder to compromise.
Two-factor authentication methods on markaszeus
markaszeus supports two methods for 2FA: SMS (text message to your phone) and authenticator apps (like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Authy). Both are equally secure. SMS is simpler for beginners; authenticator apps work offline and are slightly more secure because they generate codes locally on your phone rather than relying on SMS delivery.
SMS two-factor authentication
With SMS 2FA on markaszeus, each login prompts for a code texted to your registered phone number. The code expires after a few minutes, so you need to enter it quickly. SMS is convenient because any phone can receive a text—you don't need to install an app.
However, SMS is less secure than authenticator apps because SMS can theoretically be intercepted or redirected. If your phone number is ported to another carrier or compromised, an attacker could receive your 2FA codes. For this reason, markaszeus recommends SMS primarily for users who cannot install apps.
Authenticator app two-factor authentication
With an authenticator app on markaszeus, you install an app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, or similar) on your phone. During 2FA setup on markaszeus, we provide a QR code. You scan it with your app, and the app begins generating codes. Each code is valid for 30 seconds and works offline.
Authenticator apps are more secure than SMS because the codes are generated locally on your phone, not transmitted over networks. If someone steals your password, they still cannot log in without access to your phone. For this reason, we recommend authenticator apps for players in Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and all other regions.

-
Confirm and enable
Click the enable or confirm button on markaszeus. Two-factor authentication is now active on your account.
Recovery codes are your safety net. Store them in a secure location—not on your phone, not in an email—so you can recover your markaszeus account if you lose your 2FA device.
Two-factor authentication and your markaszeus workflow
Once 2FA is active on markaszeus, you'll encounter the second verification step at specific moments. The most common is login: you enter your email and password, then markaszeus asks for your 2FA code. You provide the code, and you're granted access to your account.
2FA on markaszeus may also be required for sensitive actions—changing your password, adding a new payment method, or confirming a large withdrawal. This extra layer protects your balance and ensures only you can make these changes. Routine actions like playing games or checking your balance do not re-trigger 2FA once you're logged in.
2FA during deposits and withdrawals
When you deposit on markaszeus using mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, local payment, online payment, e-wallet, mobile banking, or local payment, you enter the deposit amount and select your payment method. If 2FA is enabled, markaszeus may ask for your verification code before directing you to your payment provider. Once verified, you complete the payment in your bank or e-wallet app as usual.
Withdrawals on markaszeus follow the same pattern. You request a withdrawal, specify the amount and destination (your original payment method), and if 2FA is active, markaszeus prompts for your code. This ensures no one can initiate withdrawals without your 2FA device.
Troubleshooting 2FA on markaszeus
If you cannot access your 2FA code, markaszeus allows you to use recovery codes instead. During 2FA setup, we provided you 8–10 recovery codes. Each is a single-use code that works like a 2FA code. Use one if you lose your phone or cannot access your authenticator app.
If you've lost your recovery codes and cannot access your 2FA device, markaszeus support can help. Contact us with proof of identity—the same documents you provided during account verification. We can temporarily disable 2FA so you regain access, and you can then set up 2FA again with new codes.
If you're traveling or switching phones, you can disable 2FA before you go, travel with the knowledge that recovery codes work anywhere, or disable 2FA temporarily and re-enable it on your new phone once you arrive. markaszeus does not lock you out of your account just because 2FA changes—we prioritize your access while maintaining security.
Two-factor authentication best practices
Keep your recovery codes secure. Print them and store in a safe place—a safe, a locked drawer, or a secure cloud storage service (like an encrypted password manager). Do not leave them on your phone or in an unsecured email.
Do not share your 2FA codes with anyone. markaszeus staff will never ask for your 2FA code. If someone claims to be markaszeus support and requests your code, they are fraudulent. Hang up or close the chat and contact markaszeus through official channels.
If you use an authenticator app, back up your phone. If your phone is lost or stolen, you won't be able to generate new codes unless you reinstall the app and scan the QR code again. markaszeus recovery codes are your backup for exactly this scenario.
Review your account security settings regularly. On markaszeus, check your Security Settings periodically to confirm 2FA is still enabled and your phone number is current. If you change your phone number, update it on markaszeus immediately.
